Web conferencing mit VoIP

IBM and Avaya have struck an agreement to integrate Avaya’s VoIP technology with IBM’s enterprise email, Web conferencing and instant messaging offerigns Lotus Notes and Domino.
The two say the main outcome will be to enable “click-to-call” capabilities in email and instant messaging products across Lotus Notes, Domino and IBM Lotus Sametime.

Marktanteil von Domino schrumpft auf 13% bis Ende 2009

glaubt man der letzten studie von der radicati group namens “IBM Lotus Messaging Software, Market Analysis, 2005-2009″, so wird der marktanteil von momentan 23% (88.3 millionen mailboxen) auf 13% (68 millionen mailboxen) schrumpfen.
weiters verstehen 25% der kunden die aktuelle ibm workplace strategie nicht, und nur 21% der kunden wollen mitziehen.
