eben habe ich einen spannenden artikel auf developerworks gefunden; es wurde getestet, wie sich die größe der mailfiles und die anzahl der dokumente in der inbox auf die performance des systems auswirkt – wenig überraschend steigen die notwendigen ressourcen nahezu linear mit der größe; ein wichtiger punkt ist allerdings: in der inbox sollten nicht mehr als 1000 dokumente liegen – zumindest das sollte man den anwendern ins bewusstsein hämmern wenn man es schon nicht durchbringt, dass vernünftige quotas eingesetzt werden können
