will man server nach vmware klonen - vor allem nt4 - so muss man besser vorher schon alle notwendigen treiber installieren, da nt4 ja kein plug&play unterstützt. mit einer bart pe boot cd, den richtigen plugins und einer image software soll dies sehr leicht funktionieren:

Ultimate-P2V (fix-vmscsi) is a free plug-in that allows you to clone a physical machine to virtual machine - and perform the neccessary “system reconfiguration” required to make it bootable. Without this tool or a commerical P2V tool the virtual machine would just give a “blue screen of death”

da ich demnächst einige nt4 server in eine testumgebung moven möchte kommt mir das gerade recht…
