Citrix AddPrinter Utility
Many driver problems in the Terminal Services environment revolve around poor multi-threaded performance, which in turn can cause Print Spooler instability. Problematic multi-threaded performance is usually exposed when multiple users connect to a Terminal Server simultaneously using the same print driver. Symptoms include the failure to autocreate client printers, increased thread count of the Printer Spooler and/or Citrix Print Manager services, and possibly the unresponsiveness and/or unexpected termination of these services (crashes).
This tool can be used to simulate multiple sessions autocreating printers using the same print driver.

“Nomad” nennt sich das ganze, und ist ein neues feature des 7.0.2er clients. doch das wirklich coole daran ist, dass ihr dazu euren ältesten usb stick verwenden könnt – denn laut ibm benötigt das ganze nur 256kb:
The ability to load the Lotus Notes environment on to a USB flash drive or memory stick — Now with version 7.0.2, users can insert a 256 KB memory stick loaded with their Notes environment into the USB drive on any computer, and with a few simple steps, access their Lotus Notes environment from that computer, whether Lotus Notes was previously installed there or not. When the user is finished and removes their memory stick, none of their data or the Notes icon is left exposed on the host computer. For machines that have a companies’ VPN access present, this feature can provide a fully connected environment just as it is on the users own desktop. For machines without VPN access, this feature provides Lotus Notes in offline mode, similar to using your laptop on an airplane.

die letzten beiden tage war ich am semmering auf seminar; abends habe ich verblüfft festgestellt, dass ich eigentlich verdammt viele handies dabei habe:
– t-mobile mda vario (diensthandy)
– t-mobile mda 2 (eigentlich nicht mehr als handy in verwendung – sondern für tomtom 😉 )
– nokia 6230i (bereitschaftshandy)
– nokia 3510 (immer dabei, falls der vario ausfallen würde)
– nokia 621oi (“disaster recovery – handy” – mit ausländischer sim karte, damit ich im fall des falles auch über die konkurrenz telefonieren kann bzw erreichbar bin)
schon schlimm, aber ohne handy könnt ich es mir nicht mehr vorstellen (wobei: die wichtigsten funktionen – eigentlich sogar noch vor dem telefonieren – ist für mich am mda die kalender, die mail und vor allem auch die aufgaben-funktion)…
