wenn man einen blue screen hat möchte man natürlich gerne den grund wissen, um das problem lösen zu können; besondere bedeutung hat dabei die achtstelligen hexadezimalen nummer – z.b. 0x000000C9 – gefolgt von einem kurzen text, in diesem fall “DRIVER_VERIFIER_IOMANAGER_VIOLATION”. lösungen bzw links zu lösungen gibt es auf aumha.org; darf in keiner linksammlung fehlen!

die version 2 war bereits sehr genial, und ich möchte eigentlich auf keinem xp mehr arbeiten, auf dem es nicht installiert ist. seit kurzem gibt es nun die version 3 – es werden nun 262 files angepasst, bei v2 waren es noch “nur” 155; auch eine reihe von nützlichen erweiterungen sind dabei.

will man server nach vmware klonen – vor allem nt4 – so muss man besser vorher schon alle notwendigen treiber installieren, da nt4 ja kein plug&play unterstützt. mit einer bart pe boot cd, den richtigen plugins und einer image software soll dies sehr leicht funktionieren:
