zitat von john newton (cto von alfresco); und auch ansonsten taucht der name alfresco im gleichen atemzug mit sharepoint in letzter zeit ziemlich oft auf. testen wollte ich alfresco ohnehin schon lange mal, also war es nun endlich zeit dafür. immerhin sprechen viele von einem sharepoint-klon…
das ist natürlich unsinn; alfresco ist kein klon von sharepoint, sondern die entwickler haben sich die offengelegte dokumentation der office protokolle zu nutzen gemacht. somit können word, excel, powerpoint usw mit einem alfresco server so wie mit einem sharepoint-server kommunizieren, ohne irgendein plugin o.ä. in office installieren zu müssen.
“das wars aber auch schon” – zum glück. es wurde hier nicht krampfhaft versucht, sharepoint nachzubauen sondern das durchaus gute produkt um die integration in office erweitert – so, wie es bestimmt alle ernstzunehmenden hersteller auch machen werden.
