Sobald man sich ein wenig mit dem entwickeln von domino web applikationen beschäftigt, lernt man unweigerlich auch die etwas gewöhnungsbedürftigen fehlermeldungen des domino http tasks kennen - was bedeuten diese fehlermeldungen nur? das ist teilweise auf gar keinen fall sofort einleuchtend…. auf codestore.net sind einige der meldungen aufgelistet und sehr gut erklärt - lesenswert!

ein kleiner bugfix zum domino database splitter: wenn in einem folder zu viele dokumente sind, so läuft der client in ein timeout und bricht die bearbeitung dieses folders ab - daher muss man in diesem fall dokument für dokument in diesem folder durchgehen; diese function macht das.
einfach gegen die bestehende austauschen; fertig
hier die function:
hmm… ich bin mir nicht ganz sicher, aber ich denke das könnte ebenfalls in verbindung mit der instabilität des domino-servers eines kunden zu tun haben
vielleicht kann ich ja jetzt endlich norton anti-virus starten, um die anderen 50000 viren zu löschen…

mit dem unix script (für aix, solaris und linux) CheckOS von der Sandbox lässt sich leicht mittels ./checkos.pl -q -f ./checkos.dat unter dem user root überprüfen, welche betriebssystempatches für domino fehlen. macht schon alleine deswegen sinn, um sich die erste antwort vom support “did you install all recommended patches” zu ersparen…

… das wird es zwar bis zum finalen release zumindest von offizieller stelle nicht geben, aber einen ganz guten überblick bietet dieser beitrag auf dem notes/domino 7 public beta forum.
